After the Quake - Haruki Murakami
Simply my favourite writer ever.
Murakami is one of my favourite authors ever. I discovered him wandering around Acton Library in 1994 when I came across A Wild Sheep Chase. It was years before I found anyone else who had read his work, but he's a pretty big name now. His earliest books are my favourites, and anyone who knows him will be familiar with his recurring themes of cats, ears, and having an uncanny way of making you want to eat whatever he is writing about. This one is a book of short stories. If you don't know it, you are in for a treat. I have two copies of this book, which is the only reason I can part with it.
(Second hand - discoloured edges of pages but great sentimental value. Hardback)
